Tools For Vendors
Read our Farmers Market Rules and Information Guide. It has information about the market and our vendor requirements.
Quick Tips: Sale of Farm Products and Homemade Foods in Wisconsin is a helpful guide for anyone selling at a farmers market.
Food License
Wisconsin does not have a Cottage Law, but does not require a license to sell shelf stable/non-perishable foods. Many other foods, like produce, maple syrup, honey and pickled foods can be sold without a license. Find more information and food license requirements here. Any vendor selling hot foods, drinks or potentially hazardous foods will require a Transient Retail Food License. If a food license is required, you must upload your license with your application for your business to be approved. This can be obtained through the North Shore Health Department or, if you live outside of Whitefish Bay, at your local Health Department.
Application Process
Submit an application here.
If your application is approved, we will email you an invoice from Lauryn Wynter Entertainment Company. You will have up to two weeks to provide payment and secure your space at the market.
Approved vendors are invited to our annual vendor meeting. The meeting is virtual and we’ll share detailed information about the market, special promotions and other news.
New businesses must also attend vendor orientation. This workshop will cover market basics, including, licensing, sales, accounting, and customer service.
Your business will be listed on our website and we will make at least one social media post to announce you as a vendor.
Each week, vendors are asked to share any products/services they would like to promote. We include these in our newsletter and on our social media.
You will receive a vendor map and weekly update by the Friday morning before each market. Market staff is available the day of the market.
